Fredericksburg Area Museum & Cultural Center Presents Art Comes Alive

A concert under the stars in historic Market Square, Art Comes Alive!, will feature performances by local reggae band, Transmitters, and Latin jazz group, San Kocho.

Simultaneously, area artists inspired by the music will create impromptu works of art. A live auction of their pieces will conclude the evening’s festivities with all proceeds going to support the Fredericksburg Area Museum and Cultural Center. Contributing artists include Brandon Newton, Pat Thalman, Larry Southworth, Ed King, Bonnie Halford, Jim Hutchinson, and Adam DeSio.

For admission information please contact the Museum at (540) 371-3037 x141 or [email protected] Advanced cost is $25 for Museum members and $30 for non-members and includes food, drink tickets, and entertainment. Admission on September 25th is $30 for all attendees.

The mission of the Fredericksburg Area Museum and Cultural Center is to collect, interpret, and present the history and culture of the Fredericksburg area in order to share with the residents and visitors alike the stories of those who shaped the region and its role in the nation’s development.
