Museum of Fine Arts Budapest Co-operation Partner Scala at the Frankfurt Book Fair

Scala will participate to the Frankfurt Book Fair, 6-10 October, the world’s largest trade fair for books, (stand 4.1 H508) to introduce its new collections, discuss image solutions for editorial projects, present its restyled website and its Art related publishing department, with a specific focus on Museum Guides in both traditional and multimedia formats (guidebooks, DVDs, applications for smartphones and the iPad).

Scala Archives is the largest and most prestigious fine art image archive worldwide, licensing a superb collection detailing every aspect of fine arts, history and culture. Italian art makes up the core of the collection, but the Library contains thousands of first-rate works from the rest of Europe, the United States, Russia, the Middle and Far East and Africa.

Scala was Founded in 1953, at a time when color photography was becoming the preferred medium for recording works of art, and the quality of its famous transparencies and, by now, image files is still unrivalled. The picture library has offices in Florence, London and Paris, and agents in New York, Tokyo, Seoul, Moscow and Sao Paulo.
