Kate McGroarty Begins 30-day Adventure at the Museum of Science and Industry Chicago

Kate McGroarty, recently announced as the winner of MSI’s Month at the Museum contest, officially moved into the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010 at 10 a.m.

Kate was welcomed by MSI employees in the Museum’s Entry Hall, and presented with her 30 “Month at the Museum” t-shirts (one for each day), the technology package she’ll use to document her experiences, and be given her exclusive MSI “all access” pass, which will be her key to unprecedented behind-the-scenes knowledge of the Museum from Oct. 20 – Nov. 18, 2010. Kate will also see her private sleeping quarters for the first time, as well as her remodeled “office” cube.

About Month at the Museum:
The Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago has picked one curious, adventuresome individual—Kate McGroarty of Chicago—to live at the largest science center in the Western Hemisphere 24/7 for 30 days this fall, from Oct. 20 – Nov. 18, 2010.
