Dulwich Picture Gallery will be celebrating its Bicentenary year in 2011 with an astonishing international loan exhibition and a number of other birthday events from 1 January 2011 -31 December 2011.
Dulwich Picture Gallery is England’s first public art gallery: it was founded in 1811 when Sir Francis Bourgeois RA bequeathed his collection of old masters “for the inspection of the public”. The Gallery’s mission is to encourage the enjoyment of the visual arts.
