George Eastman House Museum Presents Larry Merrill Looking at Trees

George Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film presents Larry Merrill: Looking at Trees on view through June 12, 2011 in the Entrance Gallery.

Larry Merrill: Looking at Trees is about the intentional act of looking. In his work, measuring as much as 3 feet by 2 feet, Rochester photographer Larry Merrill has captured such details a the texture of bark, its limited color palette, and the quality of light under a sunlit canopy of leaves, inviting contemplation and reflection.

Photographer Larry Merril discusses the background and historical context of most recent (and first digital) project Looking At Trees, on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in the Dryden Theatre.
