March 17: Reception and Wall Art Sale
The Russell kickoff event is the opening reception and Wall Art Sale, held on Thursday evening, March 17. Enjoy food, drink, and entertainment. Attendees will also have an opportunity to preview works for the live auction on Saturday, March 19.
March 18: Art in Action
This is a uniquely-themed quick finish event. Artists will paint, sculpt, and create art pieces while interacting with the audience. Art in Action begins at 11 a.m. Pieces created during the event will be auctioned in the afternoon. Enjoy brunch and a book signing by artists and authors. This reasonably-priced art show offers something for everyone!
March 18: “The Pioneer Woman”
Join us at the Western Masters Art Show and Sale as we present a speaking event and book signing with Ree Drummond, aka “The Pioneer Woman.” High school students in local art programs will sell VIP tickets ($20/each). Proceeds from VIP ticket sales will benefit high school art programs. All other tickets will be $10 each and will be sold through the Museum and the Best Western Heritage Inn. Ms. Drummond’s books, The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Recipes from an Accidental Country Girl and Black Heels to Tractor Wheels—A Love Story, will be available for purchase at the event.
March 19: Brunch and Live Auction
The highlight of The Russell is the live auction of high quality Western art. Held at the Russell Museum on Saturday, March 19, this capstone event offers excitement and incredible art. Enjoy brunch before the bidding begins. Absentee bids can be arranged. Phone bidding will also be available at the event.

Russell; the art and life of his contemporaries; and the art of preceding and ensuing generations that depicts and focuses on the culture, life and country of Russell’s West.
