The AnchorageMuseum’s annual gala takes place 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 9 at the Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center.
This “Mammoths and Mastodons”-themed evening includes a scrumptious dinner, dancing to a DJ, and live and silent art auctions. More than 85 Alaska artists are creating new work specifically for the museum gala auctions. Featured artists are James L. Evenson, KN Goodrich and Becky Grunder.
The annual gala is the museum’s largest fundraising event. It helps support education, science programs, exhibitions and more. Tickets are $150. Dress code is black tie optional. Call 929-9226 to purchase tickets or for more information.
The AnchorageMuseum is the largest museum in Alaska and one of the top 10 most visited attractions in the state. The museum’s mission is to share and connect Alaska with the world through art, history and science. General admission is $12 adult, $9 senior/student/military, $7 ages 3 to 12, free ages 2 and younger.
