The National Railway Museum at Shildon presents Yesterday Belongs To You 10 at Locomotion on Saturday May 14, 2011.
This biennial event will feature displays and stands from a wide range of local and family history societies, including Teesside Archaeological Society; Cleveland, North Yorkshire & South Durham Family History Society; and the North East War Memorials Project. In addition, there will be traders offering a range of local and family history books, postcards, prints and other resources.
Visitors will be able to enjoy a classic bus tour around Shildon, thanks to the Aycliffe & District Bus Preservation Society. Plus the museum’s passenger steam train will be running, hauled by the Vintage Carriages Trust’s 0-6-0 saddletank locomotive, Sir Berkeley, which was built in 1890 – a small charge applies for steam train rides. There will also be a static falconry display by Ridgeside Falconry.
