The Hunterdon Art Museum hosts it’s 10th Annual Spring Wine & Food Tasting on Saturday, May 14, 2011. Presented by the Hunterdon Art Museum and Chris Cree, Master of Wine and owner of 56 Degree Wine
This benefit for the Museum’s exhibitions and education programs will offer a walk-around wine & food tasting in the Museum’s galleries and on its patio from 4:00 – 6:00 pm, preceded by a wine seminar, “Champagne and Sparkling Wines,” led by Chris Cree from 2:30 – 3:30 pm. Over 75 of the world’s greatest wine values featuring a range of wines for the spring and summer season will be available for sampling during the tasting.
Participants will also sample delicious food donated by local restaurants and caterers including Chez Alice Catering Company, The Fine Diner, The Garden Gourmet, Metropolitan Seafood Company, and the Perryville Inn. Other contributing businesses include BJ’s Wholesale Club, CenturyLink, Kings Super Markets, ShopRite of Hunterdon County, Inc., and Wegmans.
The afternoon will conclude with a raffle drawing. With three chances to win, the tickets are priced at $20 each or 3 for $50. First prize is a mixed case of wine valued at $300. The prize for second and third is a bottle of wine, valued at $50 and $30, respectively. All wine is hand-selected by Chris Cree. To purchase raffle tickets, call the Museum at 908-735-8415 or visit during the Museum’s regular business hours (Tuesday through Sunday, 11:00 am to 5:00 pm). Tickets may also be purchased at the wine tasting on May 14 up to the time of the drawing at 5:30 pm. Substitution of the prize is not permitted. Winner must be at least 21 years of age but need not be present to win.
The price per person for the wine seminar and tasting is $110 or $60 for the wine tasting only. Payment is due in full with your reservation. No refunds or cancellations. RSVP by May 6.
