On Friday, October 21 from 6 to 9pm., chills, thrills and spooky family fun will take over the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, MD, as the waterfront campus is transformed for a Maritime Monster Mash family and fundraising event.
Sponsored by Calico Toys & Games, Crackerjacks Toys & Children’s Books, and Bridges Landscaping & Garden Center, the museum’s first Maritime Monster Mash features live music, dancing with DJ Chris Startt, prizes for costumes, ghost stories, haunted exhibits, refreshments, games for all ages, and trick-or-treats for the kids. Live music will be performed by the Cemetery Cove String Quartet of Oxford, MD.
Guests are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes for the event, with prizes awarded to best family, best couple, best children, and best adult costumes. Among other decorated exhibits, a “Sea Nettle Nightmare!” maze will be created under the 1879 Hooper Strait Lighthouse.
Tickets will be available the night of the October 21 event at $15 for non-member adults, $10 for member adults, $5 for teens 13-18, and free for kids 12 and under. All event proceeds benefit the Navy Point bulkhead restoration project of the museum.
