Museum the only Seattle stop for “Honoring Our History” tour
SEATTLE, Sept. 27, 2011–On Oct. 15 and 16 The Museum of Flight is the only Seattle location for a traveling exhibit about World War I. Mounted in an 18-wheel big-rig trailer, the gallery is traveling around the country in what is called the “Honoring Our History” tour. The display was developed by the National World War I Museum in Kansas City, Mo. in partnership Waddell & Reed, Ivy Funds. The gallery features a variety of artifacts and videos, plus an authentic walk-through war zone environment where visitors can experience the conditions of trench warfare amid the sounds and sights of battle 100 years ago. The exhibit will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Admission is free.
