Saturday, November 19 is the start of the Annual Food Drive Challenge competition. New this year, the Great Platte River Road Archway in Kearney joins the competition with the Stuhr Museum in Grand Island and the Hastings Museum. Now in its fourth year, participants are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to the Museum when they come to set up their tree. Last year, the Hastings Museum raised 2,058 pounds for the local food pantry, falling to the Stuhr Museum by less than 200 pounds.
