Relive life in Lexington during World War II. Learn how everyday Americans helped with the war effort, with rationing, victory gardens, war industries, and more. Learn about what it was like for our Boys in service. What it was like to live through the intensity of battle and what they did to relieve long stretches of boredom. Also on display will be the spoils of war that our soldiers, sailors, and airmen brought back home. The exhibit will also feature a Wall of Honor listing the names of those Kentuckians that gave their all to protect America and the liberate the world.

The Lexington History Museum engages all people in the discovery and interpretation of the history of Lexington, Ky., and the Bluegrass Region. Incorporated in 2000, the Lexington History Museum, Inc. opened in the former Fayette County Courthouse in October 2003 in a partnership with the Lexington Fayette Urban County Government – ww.lexingtonhistorymuseum.org
