American Clock & Watch Museum opens on April 14 with free Admission

The American Clock & Watch Museum will celebrate the official opening of the 2012 season on Saturday, April 14, 2012, by hosting an Open House that will include free admission all day.

Celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, the museum staff announce that it has planned many events to mark this anniversary. A special exhibit, TV, War & Cinderella highlights the clock and watch making industry in the late 1940s-early 1950s and the community of Bristol. For some visitors, it will be a walk down memory lane, but for others it will be a snapshot of an important time in history. When the museum opens for the season, visitors can view this exhibit, as well as the other six gallery spaces, daily from 10:00a.m. until 5:00p.m.

For more information visit www.clockandwatchmuseum.org or call the museum 860-583-6070.

Exhibit sponsored in part by the Barnes Group Inc. and the CT Chapter 148 of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors.
