In conjunction with their current exhibition – Faith Ringgold: American Quilts – the Foundry Art Centre is conducting a public raffle of a one-of-a kind, original Faith Ringgold hand-painted scarf and an autographed copy of Ms. Ringgold’s iconic book, Tar Beach.
The scarf was donated by 13 Squared, one of the key sponsors of the Faith Ringgold: American Quilts Exhibition. 13 Squared is a collaboration of thirteen female St. Louis artists whose work supports art organizations in the area. Members of 13 Squared are: Cynthia Berg, Elizabeth Concannon, M.J. Goerke, Jane Isenberg, Ellen Klamon, Ruth Kolker, Nancy Kurten, Emily Long, Susan Dietz-Schmidt, Marceline Saphian, Ida Steinberg, Harriet Thomas and Kay Wood.
The raffle tickets are $1.00 each and the proceeds will benefit the Foundry Art Centre. The tickets may be purchased during normal business hours at the Foundry Art Centre, located at 520 North Main Center in Historic St. Charles, from now until the Faith Ringgold exhibition closes on June 1, 2012.
