The UA Museum of the North announces a call to the artisans of the circumpolar north for the 2012 Artisan Expo & Sale, to be held October 12 – 13, 2012 at the museum.
This two-day event will begin Friday evening, 5:30 – 7:30 PM, with an exclusive ticketed reception and buying opportunity, Evening with the Artists. The sale is free and open to the public Saturday from 10 AM – 5 PM
Artists of all mediums are encouraged to apply to the juried event.
Eligibility: Artisans must reside in the circumpolar north and be actively creating unique work of the highest quality in mediums such as: beadwork, ceramic, fiber arts, glass, ivory, jewelry, metal, painting, photography, printmaking and wood. All mediums are welcome to apply.
The selection committee will choose participants based on the following criteria: quality of work, artistic integrity, marketability, and price levels. Artists must guarantee sufficient inventory for the two-day event.
