The Arts & Draughts party, presented by the National Endowment for the Arts and Harpoon Brewery, returns to the Columbia Museum of Art for another night of celebrating design, innovation and creative fun on Friday, May 4 at 7:00 p.m.
To kick-off the party at 6:30 p.m., Cycle Center hosts a beer ride that begins and ends at the Museum. In addition to enjoying outdoor spring weather at this Arts & Draughts party, guests at this high-octane party go on scavenger hunts, participate in bingo games, get creative with DIY art projects, eat at the food trucks and take a unique perspective tour of the exhibition, The Art of Seating: Two Hundred Years of American Design with Clark Ellefson, principal designer and owner of Lewis & Clark. Guests also listen to live music from Mechanical River, The Mobros, Royal Tinfoil and Josh Roberts and the Hinges while tasting Harpoon IPA, a beer created, in part, by dry hopping – a technique that involves adding fresh hops to the conditioning beer to provide a fresh hop aroma.
“Arts & Draughts has been a breath of fresh air in my routine and has “livened” things up a bit. I love the fact that this event brings such a diverse crowd downtown and really highlights one of Columbia’s best assets,” Andy Clifton, Arts & Draughts guest, said.
This party is $8 / $5 for members / Free for joining or renewing Museum membership at the party.
The next Arts & Draughts party is Friday, August 3 at 7:00 p.m. Details at columbiamuseum.org
