Lancaster Museum of Art and History presents the sculpture of celebrated Southern California artist David Svenson, in an exhibition on view December 6th – January 1st, 2013.
Svenson has been incorporating neon in his work since the 1980’s, often making neon the dominant material. Other works express just the subtle glow of colored light combined with carved wood, found objects, concrete and other sculptural materials. His expressions are a visual diary of growing up with heroes, fantasies, fear, humor and a path of spirituality and cultural enlightenment.
