Lost and Found: The Search for Harry and Edna – Opening Reception Friday 5/17 at the Foundry Art Centre

The Foundry Art Centre is hosting an Opening Reception for their newest exhibition – Lost and Found: The Search for Harry and Edna – on Friday evening, May 17, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.

Lost and Found: The Search for Harry and Edna tells the collective story about the thrift-shop discovery of one thousand unlabeled Kodachrome slides by Chicago-based photographer Jeff Phillips, and the ensuing social media search for the identities and the St. Louis family of Harry and Edna Grossmann. This unique photography show explores the intersection of photography, social media, and our places in history.

Free and open to the public, the Lost and Found exhibition will run from May 17 to June 21, 2013.

Prior to the Opening Reception, the public can visit “Harry and Edna” and relive the social media search process firsthand on Facebook at Facebook.com/IsThisYourMother or on the web at harryandedna.com.

This Opening Reception event is free and open to the public. Complimentary refreshments will be served, and the Foundry Art Centre artists will also be in studio during the reception.
