The story of Colorado’s railroads is one of perseverance, daring and ingenuity—it is the story of settling and taming the Wild West. Steam locomotives were revolutionary machines in their time and ushered in the last dusty days of the horse and wagon.
Our Wild West Day event provides a family-friendly opportunity to experience firsthand the Old West, complete with period re-enactors bringing the 1880s railroad experience to life. Celebrate that rail heritage at the Colorado Railroad Museum Wild West Days—Saturday, June 22 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Enjoy train rides and meet a whole slew of outlaws, lawmen, ladies and gentlemen who will bring the Old West back to life.
Don’t miss the famed, fast-draw contests, train robberies and sharp shooting exhibitions. For more information contact [email protected].
Don’t miss a wild, Wild West event in cooperation with Monarch Productions, KOSI 101, 9News and 5280 Magazine.
