DOYLESTOWN, PA- The much-anticipated 2013 Art of Wine biennial event will take place Saturday, October 19, 6 pm, at the James A. Michener Art Museum. This distinctive wine-themed event has become a signature fundraiser for the Michener, blending an unforgettable evening of wining and dining pleasure with the goal of raising critical support for the museum’s exhibitions and education programs.
Honorary co-chairs for the Art of Wine 2013 are Maureen and Gregory Church. The event committee includes Barbara Belding, Candace Clarke, Lou Della Penna, Barbara M. Donnelly, Lisa Tremper Hanover, Lin Hodgdon, Jane Ford-Hutchinson, Gloria & Timothy Katsiff, Audrey Long, Carol Nelson, David Rago, Pamela Sergey and Virginia Sigety.

The evening begins in the galleries with a Vintner’s Reception with hors d’oeuvres and wine tasting featuring premier vineyards, including Cakebread Cellars, Duckhorn Wine Company, Louis Latour, Inc., and Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars. During the reception, guests can participate in a lively silent auction of over 40 lots including wine, art and wine-related items.
The Vintner’s Reception is followed by a four-course gourmet dinner in the Edgar N. Putman Event Pavilion, created just for this event by Peter Loevy of Catering By Design. Specially chosen wine pairings will accompany each course.
The evening culminates in a live auction presided over by auctioneer and wine aficionado David Rago of Rago Arts and Auction Center in Lambertville, N.J. The live auction features art and exclusive wine lots, as well as unique experience and destination packages.
Patron Tables for 10 are available for $3,700 with an acknowledgement in the program and select seating at the dinner. Patron tickets are $370 and single event tickets are $185. Reserved tables for 10 are also available.
