Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam Seek Artistic Director

The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, the largest museum for modern and contemporary art and design in the Netherlands, is currently searching for an Artistic Director to succeed Ann Goldstein, who will leave the museum on December 1st.

Previous directors were Willem Sandberg (1945–1963), Edy de Wilde (1963–1985), Wim Beeren (1985–1993), Rudi Fuchs (1993–2003), Hans van Beers (2003–2005), and Gijs van Tuyl (2005–2009).

The Stedelijk Museum houses a unique collection of 90,000 objects embracing a wide variety of disciplines: painting, sculpture, film and video art, works on paper, artists’ books, photography, and applied arts and design. After undergoing the first extensive renovation in its history, the museum successfully reopened in September 2012. Recent exhibitions include Beyond Imagination, MIKE KELLEY, and Aernout Mik, Communitas.
