Kirkland Museum of Fine & Decorative Art to Relocate

Kirkland Museum of Fine & Decorative Art has announced plans to build a new museum at 12th Avenue and Bannock Street, in the heart of Denver’s museum district. Located near the Denver Art Museum and the Clyfford Still Museum, the new location will offer visitors an enhanced experience, while staying true to the salon style and intimate atmosphere for which the Kirkland is known.

Kirkland Museum will be situated on seven lots (just over 26,000 square feet) from the northwest corner of 12th Avenue and Bannock Street, to about the middle of the block. The property was purchased for $4.395 million. Construction is expected to begin in 2015 and to be completed by late 2016 to early 2017.
