Offsite Museum Camps bring Cincinnati Museum Center to a location near you

CINCINNATI – Summer’s coming and that means one thing: they’re back. Swarming your yard and home, eating everything in sight, getting louder and louder as the summer goes on. No, they’re not the cicadas. They’re your children, out of school and, by the middle of June, out of things to do. But don’t worry, Cincinnati Museum Center’s Museum Camps have plenty to keep them busy, and learning, all summer.

This summer we’re taking our Museum Camps to a community near you! Offsite Museum Camps take the same interactive, fun learning style, experienced counselors and Museum Center programming to locations around the Greater Cincinnati area, including the Cincinnati Observatory, Mt. Washington School, Academy of World Languages and Leaves of Learning . Weeklong camps are available around a variety of topics ranging from meteorology to engineering to computer coding.

Whether your child is in grades K-8, there’s an Offsite Camp to help fend off the brain drain of summer with. Observatory Space Camp uses the expertise of the Cincinnati Observatory staff and instruments to observe the mysteries of the universe and test your astronaut skills. Sports Science Camp at Mt. Washington School will make sure you’re cheering on the physics at work while your favorite athletes compete in the Olympics this summer. Try your hand at computer coding or board game design during Game Design Camp at Academy of World Languages. At Leaves of Learning you can make movie magic during Lights…Camera…Science! Camp or dive into the world of forensics and psychology as you play detective in Spy Science Camp.

Museum Camps are the perfect way for your kids to spend the summer learning something new and a great alternative to childcare. Before and after camp childcare is available as well.

Offsite Museum Camps begin June 6 so sign up now! There are also still spots available in our Museum Camps at Union Terminal. For a complete list of camps, dates and descriptions visit www.cincymuseum.org/programs/museum-camp/offsite. To register please call (513) 287-7001.
