Cincinnati Museum Center accepting nominations for 2017 Difference Makers Awards

CINCINNATI – Do you know someone who spends their weekends planting neighborhood gardens? Or a child who collects books for classmates who may not have any? Maybe you know a business that provides resume workshops for high school students. Cincinnati Museum Center wants to honor them at our ninth annual Duke Energy Children’s Museum Difference Maker Awards. But you have to nominate them first!

Cincinnati Museum Center Difference MakersThe Difference Makers Awards recognizes those people who work to make a difference in the lives of children and the communities in which they grow, learn and play. We want to honor the unsung heroes – the grandmothers and foster parents, the volunteers and community organizations, the teenagers and budding child advocates – along with the businesses and professionals who make the Greater Cincinnati region a better place for children.

“This is an exciting opportunity to honor the people who humbly make a difference for children every day,” says Donna Zaring, marketing consultant and co-chair of the 2017 Difference Maker Awards. “Our mission is to honor those often unsung heroes and inspire the next generation of difference makers growing up within our communities.”

Past honorees were nominated for organizing a benefit concert to support Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center’s Surviving the Teens Program; helping pregnant and parenting teens to raise children while continuing to pursue their dreams; placing 3D printers in Boys and Girls Clubs across the country; and much more.

We are now accepting nominations in the following categories:
Youth – under 18 years of age
Adult Volunteer – unpaid individuals
Adult Professional – paid professional
Business – for-profit organization
Non-profit Organization
Youth & School Group
