Contemporary Russian Literature Book Group: Pushkin Hills by Sergei Dovlatov at the Museum of Russian Icons

Pushkin Hills is the story of an unsuccessful writer and inveterate alcoholic who takes a summer job at the Pushkin Hills Preserve in hopes of regaining some balance in his life, only to experience a further unraveling. The New York Review of Books called Pushkin Hills “one of Dovlatov’s greatest contributions to Russian literature.”
