The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum has announced the addition of two new members to its full-time staff; Elizabeth Bourdin, and Jamaal Henry.
Bourdin joins CBMM as its Human Resources Generalist & Payroll Accountant. She will be responsible for both the administration, coordination, and evaluation of human resources, and oversight of CBMM’s payroll function and performance of monthly reconciliations.
Bourdin has a bachelor’s degree in English from Simmons College, and brings to CBMM work experience in human resources for Salisbury University, and University of Maryland Medical System. She previously worked as a managing associate for Korn/Ferry International in New York City, and volunteered for a number of church and professional organizations in Connecticut.
A Greenwich, Conn., native, Bourdin now lives in Easton, Md., and has been visiting CBMM since the 1970s while visiting grandparents who lived in the area.
Henry, an Easton native who now lives in Trappe, Md., has joined CBMM as Dockmaster. He will be responsible for overseeing CBMM’s marina and docking operations, and ensuring that all CBMM’s docking members and visitors are greeted, assisted, engaged, and informed about CBMM’s amenities.
Henry has prior work experience as a dock hand, and massage therapist, and has volunteered with the YMCA, and food drives for the homeless in Baltimore, Md.
Established in 1965, the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is a world-class maritime museum dedicated to preserving and exploring the history, environment, and culture of the entire Chesapeake Bay, with the values of relevancy, authenticity, and stewardship guiding its mission.
