SEATTLE – On June 1, veteran science and spaceflight writer Leonard David shows there is a new space race to the Moon and it’s a lot more complicated than the old space race, involving multiple nations and corporations with their eyes on everything from scientific research to mining ventures. And the venture may extend to the next stop, Mars. Leonard will sign copies of his newest book for National Geographic, Moon Rush: The New Space Race, after the presentation. The 2 p.m. program is free with Museum Admission.
Leonard David has been reporting on space activities for over 50 years. He is also author of Mars – Our Future on the Red Planet published by National Geographic in October 2016. The book is the companion volume to Mars – a National Geographic Channel television series from executive producers Brian Grazer and Ron Howard.
