Adult night at the Cincinnati Museum Center

CINCINNATI – Cincinnati’s annual adults-only night at the museum is back November 4. Cincinnati Museum Center (CMC) is inviting you to enjoy a chilled cocktail around a fire pit, dine with the dinosaurs and be the first to experience its upcoming nature-inspired gallery as you explore every nook and cranny of the museum after hours. And, for a limited time, you can take advantage of reduced early bird pricing. All-inclusive tickets to Layers of Nature are available for $175 through October 7.

With bars on every level, a variety of delicacies from the city’s culinary experts and nature-inspired décor throughout the Rotunda, Layers of Nature guests will enjoy exclusive after-hours access as they dine, drink and explore across the museum. Layers of Nature is Friday, November 4 from 7 to 11:30 p.m.

“Everyone wants to know what happens in the museum after hours. This is your chance to get dressed up and find out,” said Elizabeth Pierce, president and CEO of Cincinnati Museum Center. “Layers of Nature is our celebration of the world around us in all its wild, rugged beauty. In that spirit we’re curating an evening of revelry while supporting the future of our museum.”

Tickets include all food and drink, access to CMC’s museums and OMNIMAX® Theater and the upcoming exhibition Dinosaurs of Antarctica. Early bird tickets are $175 through October 7. VIP Host/Hostess packages are available for $500 and includes two VIP tickets with one-hour early admission and exclusive food from Jeff Ruby’s Culinary Entertainment and Ruby’s Chocolates, a mixology experience with Molly Wellmann featuring Big Ice and live music. All proceeds from the event support CMC’s Champion More Curiosity campaign.

This year, you can explore your favorite exhibits, embracing your inner carnivore or herbivore as you graze in the shadow of Dinosaurs of Antarctica, CMC’s newest featured exhibition. Immerse yourself in the sights, sounds and scents of the forest as you walk under the treetops in the John A. and Judy Ruthven Get Into Nature Gallery, CMC’s next permanent exhibit opening exclusively for Layers of Nature. The OMNIMAX® Theater will be available all night for those seeking that elementary school field trip thrill.

Live music by the Chuck Taylors, curated bourbon tastings from Brain Brew Custom Whiskey, a series of explosive science spectacles, live animal encounters and conversations with curators and paleontologists will make for one unforgettable night at the museum. Catch up with old friends and make new ones as you relive memories of field trips past and revel in culinary and cocktail excellence.
