Astronauts Land at Museum of Flight to Perform Live Concerts

SEATTLE – On July 29 the Museum offers two evening concerts of folk, bluegrass and jazz by the world’s spaciest band, Bandella—a group of five former astronauts and guest artists. Bandella includes Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield, who reached hundreds of millions with his solo performance video of Space Oddity while floating in the space station (regarded by David Bowie as the best version of his song).

Bandella’s four other astronaut artists include Cady Coleman, Dan Burbank, Ken Cockrell and Steve Robinson, with Micki Pettit as the lead singer. Bandella concerts blend music with stories from space, plus a Q&A with the audience.

Shows will be at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m., with $50 general admission/$40 Museum Members.

Media Alert: There will be opportunities to interview the astronauts at the Museum July 28-29.
