Museum of Flight to Host Lecture with NASA Astronaut and Artist Nicole Stott

SEATTLE – On Aug. 19 at 2 p.m., NASA astronaut and Nicole Stott will talk about her missions on the International Space Station, creating paintings in space, and how being an astronaut has inspired her art and her life everywhere. Stott is a veteran of two spaceflights and 104 days as a crew member on both the International Space Station and the space shuttle, and was the tenth woman to perform a spacewalk. Stott is a co-founder of the Space for Art Foundation, and she is the author of Back to Earth – What Life In Space Taught Me About Our Home Planet – And Our Mission To Protect It. Stott will be signing copies of the book after her presentation. The lecture is included with admission to the Museum and free for Museum Members.
