SEATTLE – The Museum’s annual Jet Blast Bash festival on the flightline is Seattle’s closest seat to experience the Blue Angels’ thunderous takeoffs and landings for the Boeing Seafair Airshow Aug. 2-3. JBB is also the Museum’s biggest and most popular outdoor family festival with live music, food, brews and awesome airplane activities for all ages.
Fans will enjoy live music all weekend by the dynamic dance cover bands Brickhouse and Mr. Pink, while DJs with C89.5 will fill the air with EDM on Sunday, Aug. 3. The event also features displays of rare World War II aircraft including a PBY Catalina flying boat, Curtiss P-40 Warhawk fighter, Boeing B-17 bomber and North American B-25 bomber (bomber ground tours and ride opportunities).
The festival offers five food trucks, a beer garden, dozens of family activities and community partners. This year, the U.S. Navy Blue Angels will be the airshow’s grand finale at the end of the day so you will have ample time to enjoy the Museum’s indoor events and galleries including the incredible new art exhibit, The MiG-21 Project. And jet pilot Will “Psycho” Ward will tell you what it’s like to fly a MiG-21 supersonic fighter during his daily indoor presentations, Mach 2: Myths and Legends.
Jet Blast Bash activities are included with Museum admission (required).
