The Rogers Historical Museum has unveiled a new logo, tagline, and design sets for its calendars, posters, rack card, and advertisements. The museum also has improved its website to make it easier to navigate. The improved website developed by Ron Bird and his staff at Arkansas Web Design went online late in December.
These changes were accomplished with the help of New Creature’s Elizabeth Linson and Stephanie Bergman. Linson and Bergman put their marketing and design expertise to work for the RHM by first helping the commission and staff brainstorm ideas for a new tagline. After testing the various tagline options with major target markets, the museum settled on “Real. True. Fun.” This tagline and its supporting position statement emphasize that the museum offers real objects, true stories, and family fun and life-long learning.
Central to the updated look of the museum’s new marketing materials is the new logo designed by Bergmen, who also developed new formats for posters, calendars, business cards and stationery, and the museum rack card. The museum’s former logo had a distinctly Victorian feel, while the new logo reflects the museum’s increasing focus on collecting from and interpreting the mid 1900s, including the post-World War II era.
The new logo, tagline, and marketing materials are a part of the museum’s on-going effort to increase the visibility and enhance the image of the RHM in the community.
