On February 13th, a Lincoln Birthday Celebration is planned at the Forbes House Museum, following a long standing tradition of celebrating Abraham Lincoln’s Birthday.
The day will include selections from the Mary Bowditch Forbes Lincoln Collection; the Lincoln Log Cabin replica; Civil War Re-enactors from the 22ndMass, the 54th Mass, and the Attleboro GOP; music by “Crosswinds”, the Navy Band Northeast’s Woodwind Quintet and traditional hot chocolate will be served.
Cost: Free for all with a suggested $5 per family donation
The mission of the Forbes House Museum is to: Preserve and care for the historic property at 215 Adams Street – its collections, buildings, and grounds. Provide educational and cultural opportunities to a growing and diverse community through its programs, events and use of open space. Foster an understanding and appreciation of the 19th and early 20th centuries through the focus of the Forbes family’s interests, activities, and their contributions to the global economy and the American China Trade. The Museum is committed to maintaining a professional staff and Board of Trustees dedicated to the realization of its mission.
