The new M Shed Museum in Bristol opened to the public on Friday 17 June 2011.
Built on the site of the former Industrial Museum in Prince’s Wharf on Wapping Road, in Bristol, M Shed is a new museum for Bristol that tells the story of the city.
M Shed has been designed by LAB Architecture Studios. It has 3000 sq metres of permanent and temporary exhibition space over three floors. Every effort has been made to retain the building’s unique industrial nature whilst renovating it to provide facilities fit for a leading modern museum.
