The Vero Beach Museum of Art presents What’s the Story? an exhibition on view through September 25, 2011.
What’s the Story? will delight – and perhaps mystify – visitors who will be invited to guess the meanings of a thought-provoking selection of paintings, prints, and sculpture. Drawn from the Museum’s permanent collection, most of these works of art have never been on public display. They have been specially selected to pique visitors’ curiosity and encourage them to look more deeply at the subject matter and style of each piece. Some of the paintings, prints, and sculptural works give viewers just enough visual information to excite their interest and invite speculation. Others tell stories that are easier to unravel. Because of the open-ended nature of the stories told by these works of art, the exhibition will engage a wide range of visitors.
