After a successful 15-year term, Donald R. Caldwell has stepped down as Chair of the Board of Trustees at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA). He was succeeded by PAFA Vice-Chair and Treasurer Kevin F. Donohoe, who assumed the chairmanship on July 1, 2011. As Emeritus Chair, Mr. Caldwell remains an active member of the Board.
In addition, PAFA announced the re-election of Herbert S. Riband, Jr., Esq. as Vice Chair and Secretary and Thomas N. Pappas and James C. Biddle as Vice Chairs. Current trustee Thomas L. Bennett, CFA, has become Board Treasurer. Re-elected for a new term and serving as officers are Roger H. Ballou, Assistant Treasurer and Anne E. McCollum, Assistant Secretary.
Other trustees re-elected are Gerald P. Barth, Robert A. Fisk, John A. Fry, Marguerite Lenfest, William Rulon-Miller, Martha McGeary Snider, and Lynn Nowicki Clarke as a National trustee.
PAFA welcomes eight new members to the Board of Trustees. “Throughout its history, PAFA has attracted committed community leaders to its Board who strive to ensure outstanding exhibitions and programs,” said Kevin F. Donohoe.
The following new members of the Board are:
Karl E. Bupp is Executive Vice President of the Henson Group, a national manufacturer and distributor for Brute Wrestling, NeuEdge Sportswear, and Evolve Sportswear products.
Ken Catanella is Senior Vice President for UBS Institutional Consulting, located in the Mellon Bank Building. Catanella is the Founder of “UBS Motor Cars Under the Stars,” an annual event that benefits the United Cerebral Palsy Association.
Monica Duvall-DiLella, M.D. is a Physician and Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine and Community Health, practicing at Penn Family Care at St. Leonard’s Court.
Paulett Eberhart is President, CEO, and Director of the CDI Corporation, and has an extensive background in information technology, engineering solutions, and business services. Eberhart also sits on the Board of Directors of Advanced Micro Devices and Anadarko Petroleum Corporation.
Edward T. Harvey is a semi-retired Senior Advisor at Dominus Capital, a newly-formed private equality investment company. In 2001, he established the “Edward T. Harvey, Sr. Memorial Endowed Scholarship” at the University of Pennsylvania, named in memory of his father.
James E. O’Neill, Esq. is partner in the Wilmington, Delaware office of Pachulski Stang Ziehl & Jones LLP, one of the nation’s top insolvency practices. He represents parties in all aspects of corporate restructuring. He is a former board member and board chair of MANNA and is also former board member of the Consumer Bankruptcy Assistance Project.
Steven K. Ritter is a partner in the audit practice in KPMG’s Philadelphia office. Ritter currently serves on a funding advisory panel for the Chester County Boy Scouts of America, and is the
Co-Chair of the Philadelphia-Downtown, PA Chapter of The Financial Executives Networking Group.
Theodore O. Rogers, Jr., Esq. (National Trustee) is a partner with the New York law firm Sullivan & Cromwell LLP. Rogers leads his firm’s Labor and Employment Law Group and represents clients in estates litigation. Rogers has co-authored several books and serves as a lecturer on employment law topics.
