Free “Museum of Fright” Returns for Halloween

Museum opens doors for family Halloween party Oct. 28 at 4 p.m.

For one night every year, The Museum of Flight becomes The Museum of Fright. Admission is free for this family-friendly Halloween event from 4 to 8 p.m. Costumes are encouraged. Fun and “dead”ucational activities for all ages, including storytelling, ghost parachute drops, shadow puppets, and stormy flights on frightful simulators. Following The Museum of Fright activities is The Museum of Fright Sleepover, which requires separate admission and pre-registration.

Join the fun early in the evening, then stay after hours for a Spooky Spy Sleepover! The event includes a special spy activity, a chilling flashlight tour of the World War I and World War II galleries, a snack and breakfast. Space is limited. For ages 7 through 13, accompanied by an adult. Minimum one adult per five children. Museum members: $35/youth, $15/adults. Non-members: $40/youth, $20/adults. Register by Friday, Oct. 21, 2011. The Museum of Flight is located at 9404 E. Marginal Way S., Seattle, Exit 158 off Interstate 5 on Boeing Field half-way between downtown Seattle and Sea-Tac Airport. The Museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $16 for adults, $14 for seniors 65 and older, $13 for active military, $9 for youth 5 to 17, and free for children under 5. Group rates are available. Admission on the first Thursday of the month is free from 5 to 9 p.m. courtesy of Wells Fargo.
