Palazzo Ducale Opens Van Gogh Gauguin and the journey

The Palazzo Ducale in Genoa presents Van Gogh Gauguin and the journey, an exhibition on view 12 November 2011 – April 15, 2012 .

The exhibition – 80 masterpieces of European painting and American of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries and a dozen original letters of Van Gogh – whose theme is the journey, also intended as an adventure within. Heart of the exhibition are 40 works by Van Gogh and Paul Gauguin’s famous painting Where do we come? Who are we? Where to now?, The Boston Museum pays only for the second time in Europe. And Hopper, Rothko, Turner, Morandi, Kandinsky, Monet and many other protagonists of the art scene of the last two centuries.

The Doge’s Palace (Italian: Palazzo Ducale) is a historical building in Genoa, northern Italy. Once the home of the Doges of Genoa, it is now a museum and a centre for cultural events and arts exhibitions.
