Tel Aviv Museum of Art Presents Art From The Collection

The Tel Aviv Museum of Art Presents “THE MUSEUM PRESENTS ITSELF:
Israeli Art from the Museum Collection” an exhibition on view through Sunday 30 December 2012 in the Herta and Paul Amir Building.

Reuven Rubin, The Artist’s Family, 1926-1927.

The title of this exhibition quotes the name given in 1959 by Eugen Kolb, then the Museum’s Director, to the opening exhibition at the Helena Rubinstein Pavilion. The galleries will present a permanent selection of Israeli art from the Museum’s collection, with three opening chapters: Joint Identities, 1906–1960; Private Identities, 1960–1990; Glocalism, 1990–2011. The exhibition continues with Ori Gersht’s video art Evaders, 2009.

The Tel Aviv Museum of Art is Israel’s leading museum of modern and contemporary art, and home to one of the world’s largest collections of Israeli art. – www.tamuseum.com
