Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum offers free Fridays in February

Admission includes access to the 1879 Hooper Strait Lighthouse and other historic structures, as well as several exhibition buildings along CBMM’s 18-acre, Miles River waterfront campus in St. Michaels.

“Winter offers a great time to visit the museum,” said CBMM’s Vice President of Constituent Services René Stevenson. “We have a number of inside exhibitions to enjoy, and our boatyard is busiest in the colder months with restoration work on our historic fleet of Chesapeake vessels.”

Admission will be free each Friday in February for all museum guests. General admission is otherwise good for two consecutive days and is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and students with ID, $6 for children 6-17, and free for museum members and children under 6.

With a mission to preserve and explore the history, environment and people of the Chesapeake Bay, the museum is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. seven days a week, except for Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. For more information, visit www.cbmm.org or call 410-745-2916
