On Saturday, December 6 from 10-4pm., the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum will be hosting a sail making workshop. No experience is needed, with participation limited and advanced registration needed.
Participants will be led by CBMM’s Boatyard Program Manager Jenn Kuhn in constructing a new sail for the museum’s miniature skipjack Spat. Kuhn will demonstrate the basic skills needed to construct a sail, with participants cutting and sewing panels and corner patches, as well as installing grommets.
The program takes place in the museum’s Van Lennep Auditorium and is $45 for CBMM members or $55 for non-members, with pre-registration needed by emailing CBMM Boatyard Program Manager Jenn Kuhn at [email protected] or calling 410-745-4980.
