CINCINNATI, OH – The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center invites the media to attend Community Conversations: Standing Rock today, April 27.
Attendees will learn about the current issues surrounding the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) and the tribes of Standing Rock Reservation in North Dakota. This evening’s conversation was organized by National Underground Railroad Freedom Center intern and Northern Kentucky University graduate Rachel Ellison after a recent visit to the Standing Rock reservation of Oceti Sakowin. The conversation will be moderated by Allison Warner, President of Kiksuya, an NKU student organization dedicated to service and outreach to Native American communities. The lecture begins at 7:00 p.m.
