Museum of Flight HangarFest 2019 Offers Big Party with Big Planes

SEATTLE – The Museum’s Aug. 24, 7-10 p.m. HangarFest is a big outdoor party surrounded by large classic airplanes under a towering three-acre roof. Centered in the Museum’s Aviation Pavilion, the 21+ event features yard games, live music from OnCore, food trucks and unlimited tastings of local craft brews, ciders, wines and spirits. The site is home to Air Force One, Concorde, the original 747, World War II bombers and classic jets like the F-14 Tomcat. Space-themed activities and virtual reality experiences will be offered inside the adjacent Space Gallery.

Tickets on sale now: $65 general/$60 Museum members; $30 designated driver. Ticket includes: Entrance to event, a commemorative tasting glass, and unlimited tastes of beer, wine, and spirits. The group rate (10 or more) is $60 each, to book a group contact [email protected].

Yard games include giant connect four, shuffleboard, foosball, giant checkers and cornhole. HangarFest will feature beer tasting from breweries including Elysian Brewing, Diamond Knot Brewing, and Ninkasi Brewing, and cider tasting from 2 Towns Cinderhouse, Portland Cider Company and others. Wineries include L’Ecole No. 41, AirField, DeLille Cellares, Mercer Winery. And returning from last year’s HangarFest, Heritage Distilling Company.
