Into America’s Wild opens in the OMNIMAX Theater at Cincinnati Museum Center

CINCINNATI – Cincinnati Museum Center (CMC) is taking you on a cross-country adventure into the hidden wonders of the natural world. The beautifully rugged and surprisingly wild spaces from across the country stretch across the screen in MacGillivray Freeman’s Into America’s Wild, narrated by Academy Award® winner Morgan Freeman.

From the award-winning producers of the hit documentary National Parks Adventure, Into America’s Wild is a celebration of the transformational allure of nature and wild spaces. The film is a non-stop ride via kayak, bike, train, hot air balloon, zipline, kite surfboard and more into some of the most beautiful but little-known landscapes of North America. From the wilds of Alaska and the lush coastline of Oregon to the ancient canyons of the Southwest and the rolling hills of the Appalachian Trail, Into America’s Wild is wall-to-wall with natural treasures and the joy that comes from spending time in nature.

“Stunning aerial photography makes every seat feel like it’s floating along the Kelp Highway, in the shadow of Utah’s sandstone canyons and in the midst of a thundering herd of wild mustangs,” said Dave Duszynski, vice president of featured experiences at Cincinnati Museum Center. “The OMNIMAX® Theater effectively immerses you in America’s wild.”

Guiding the journey are three trailblazers – Chickasaw astronaut John Herrington, Alaskan bush pilot and youth advocate Ariel Tweto and long-distance hiker Jennifer Pharr Davis – who share a passion for connecting people to experiences in the wild. As they wind their way through the scenic byways, ancient homelands, secret gems and hidden trails of America, viewers will discover the special human connection we all share with the natural world.

“Into America’s Wild is not only a non-stop adventure to some of America’s most stunning landscapes, it’s also a vital exploration into how being in nature can spark peak experiences that improve our lives,” said Greg MacGillivray, chairman of MacGillivray Freeman Films and director of Into America’s Wild. “We set out to show North America’s infinite beauty, but also the magic that nature can work on every one of us, how it invites us to be part of something bigger than ourselves.”

Into America’s Wild is a natural companion to CMC’s upcoming exhibition America’s Epic Treasures featuring Preternatural by Michael Scott. The immersive art exhibition features 33 major works by artist Michael Scott and over a dozen 19th century landscape paintings from CMC’s collections, all in celebration of the brilliant beauty and rejuvenating power of nature. America’s Epic Treasures featuring Preternatural by Michael Scott opens May 27 and is included with museum or OMNIMAX® admission.

The film is now showing in the Robert D. Lindner Family OMNIMAX® Theater. Visit cincymuseum.org/into-americas-wild for tickets and showtimes.
